                                                                    The Mystery of Life

Questions and Answers are cited below as “Q” and “A”

1.        Q:   Why do I select this subject?

A:   Because it is a source of health and stability for us as humans, to take cognizance of the fact that the whole of life itself, whether it is the initial fact of oxygen on some parts of the universe, or the evolution which is an unavoidable fact, there is an overwhelming mystery to the universe, –not just life on some planets.

2.        Q:   Is religion an explanation of that otherwise seeming mystery?

A:   No.

3.        Q:   Why not?

A:   Because religion is just one explanation for a whole gallery of explanations as Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, etc., etc. for the very existence of the universe or universes.

4.        Q:   Are there other answers?

A:   Yes.  And they are innumerable whether issuing out of sheer speculation or out of  painstaking science or out of particular needs as they arise, as for example, the stem cell exploration to lead to the elimination of Alzheimer’s disease.

5.        Q:   Is there a reason for acceptance of the fact of mystery and inevitable further answers?

A:   Yes.  Because acceptance of the fact of mystery is a key to overcoming fanaticism whether of Bin Laden or the Shiites of Iraq.

6.        Q:   What is the reason for overcoming fanaticism?

A:   That is a major key to the avoidance of wars.

7.        Q:   What is the reason for the avoidance of war?

A:   To the extent it can be achieved, that avoidance is a key to unlimited progress.
