Questions and Answers are cited below as
"Q" and "A"
1. Q: Why do I suggest an overall solution?
A: Because it is apparent from the President's proposals, including cutting taxes in the face of national expenditures requiring a tax increase.
2. Q: Any further reasons for attempting an overall solution now?
A: Yes, -the President's recommendations for shift of the Social Security program to total or mixed taxpayer ownership, are hopelessly inadequate, and quite apparently will not sell with the electorate nor the Congress.
The President's partial stabs at the nation's tax/Social Security/health care by removing the bankruptcy quicksands under credit cards, -all are inadequate to meet the problems stated.
3. Q: What then is your suggestion?
A: The following steps, without fail, in the following order: (1) Assuring the nation's fair tax collection by adoption of the Flat Tax on all taxpayer income above a reasonably established national minimum as a national un-tax minimum, e.g. $40,000; (2) Assuring an end to poverty and the nation's reasonable health care by relating these to the probable national tax income from the Flat Tax national collection; (3) Relating the foregoing also to a quicker transfer to Iraqi self-rule, by relating that process to heavy advertisement to the Iraqis of America's national adoption of a Flat Tax as the way to end poverty and facilitate adoption of national health insurance.
4. Q: Have you an example of possible flat tax calculator?
A: Yes. Annexed hereto is a Flat Tax Calculator published by Citizens for a Sound Economy (CSE) at www.cse.org/flattax/index.phb.
