The "Life" Side of Death?

Questions and Answers are cited below as

"Q" and "A"

1. Q: What is the meaning of the title?

A: Science and the determination to conquer death in favor of "life," has resulted in a revolutionary change in acceptance of life and death.

2. Q: What are you referring to, -when you refer to death?

A: To the now outworn assumption that death is the end of "life."

3. Q: Are you just referring to that "life" at the end of death as "life" for the soul and death for the body?

A: No. In a very scientific and conceptual revelation, death can, and is, being used as a foundation for a different "form" of "life."

4. Q: What is that different form of "life"?

A: It is the use of plastics, i.e., "plastination"1 of the corpse to serve the purposes of "life."

5. Q: Do those purposes include art?

A: Yes.

6. Q: Do they include exhibitions?

A: Yes.

7. Q: Are you referring to that different form of "life" as capable even of "plastinated" successor act of "life" such as the playing of chess, or in sports such as javelin throws, hurdles, broad jumping, kicking a soccer ball, or riding on horse back?

A: Yes.

8. Q: Do you mean that the exhibitions is for the soul?

A; No. It has nothing really to do with soul.

The exhibition is for the purposes of "life."

9. Q: And how is the expected loser of "life," compensated by preservation as a "plastinate"?

A: Tremendously successful exhibitions of the results of the "plastination" process and dissection and reconstruction of the very organs where "life" continues to exist in its own "plastinated" form, -including in "life" action.

10. Q: And are you saying that that survival of the "life from the corpse" is not by "deception," -albeit it is followed by "plastination" and reconstruction in the very organs in which "life" exists only as a "plastinate," - including in "life" action?

A: Yes.

11. Q: And are you saying that that kind of survival of the "life" side of death satisfies humanity?

A: Yes, -and in a double sense.

12. Q: How?

A: (1) Scientifically it is invaluable to the lifetime care and cure of the anatomy;

(2) Huge crowds which have seen and applauded this working procedure on exhibition in Germany, England, United States and elsewhere, -exhibit by their attendance and applause that this new, and very scientific road to the "life" -side of death, is a source also of admiration and joyous expectation, -including even by observers who plan to donate their own corpses for this after - "life" plastination procedure and exhibition.

13. Q: Is what you are talking about proven somewhere?

A: Yes.

14. Q: Where?

A: In the two instruments of instruction and clarification, which we obtained at the California Science Center "Body Worlds 2 Exhibit" devoted to the foregoing.

15. Q: What are those two instruments?

A: (1) Dr. Gunter von Hagens' "Body Worlds 2: The Anatomic Exhibition of Real Human Bodies."

(2) The DVD entitled "Witness the Exhibition that Literally Gets Under Your Skin?"

"More that 15 million visitors have already admired anatomical specimens from Gunter von Hagens' experience."

"A digital reunion with the Runner, the Chess Player, with skin and other plastinates."

"Meet the man behind the Body Worlds, his pioneering revolution."

"You will find on the DVD a commented tour through the exhibition."

"Exclamations on the revolutionary plastination technique."

"Fascinating pictures of the creation of the mega-plastinate... Horse with Rider"
,br> "An interview with Gunter von Hagens, -inventor and exhibition organizer."

"Information on the exhibition. In four languages: English, French, Dutch, or German. Duration approximately 70 minutes."
1Plastination is a vacuum process in which a body's water and fat content are replaced by fluid plastic, which later hardens to retain all tissue structures. The German anatomist Dr. med. Gunter von Hagens invented plastination in 1977. The technique allows the general public to enjoy fascinating insights previously available only to medical students in dissection rooms. * * *
