Questions and Answers are cited below as "Q" and "A"
During the weekend of Sunday, February 26, 2006, your Plain Talker was the guest in San Francisco of Gerardo Joffe and his wife Priscilla Joffe.
The hosts were the Joffes, and the purpose of the San Francisco weekend was to get better acquainted with two nonprofit publications in the world's public interest viz that of Gerardo Joffe known worldwide as FLAME (Facts and Logic About the Middle East.)
The other publication, existing more or less since March 4, 1931, albeit under different titles, has been known since August 1, 1990 as Plain Talk, published by Leonard Horwin of Beverly Hills, CA.
1. Q: What is the purpose of the present Plain Talk ?
A: To fulfill Plain Talk's promise to FLAME, to illustrate how Plain Talk is composed.
2. Q: Why?
A: To illustrate its choice of subject, and how the conclusions are reached.
3. Q: How does Plain Talk choose its subject matter?
A: From a world of publications, - and selecting there from the timely most important.
4. Q: What is Plain Talk's choice today, among world available subjects?
A: "Dreams Deferred."
5. Q: Why?
A: Because "Dreams Deferred" properly explained, is the key to one of the world's prime problems, viz conquest of insomnia.
6. Q: Where is the subject intelligently answered currently?
A: In the annexed article, from the New York Times, Op-Ed of Sunday, February 19, 2006
7. Q: What are the salient conclusions?
A: With complaints and expenditures on insomnia mounting, "we sleep better now than ever before.
In all likelihood, we have never slept so soundly."
"Americans might try to remember that though they're sleeping less, they're sleeping better and more seamlessly than humans ever have in the past."
