Colonize the Moon

Questions and Answers are cited below as "Q" and "A"

1. Q: Why colonize the Moon?

A: Because this is a way by which dwellers on this planet can anticipate what could happen here, from the fact that it happened before.

2. Q: What happened before?

A: Our best record is that this planet was dominated by monsters until they were wiped out by a force that blotted out the oxygen source.

3. Q: What happened then?

A: We know from the record that it was only after the blotting out of those monsters, that the human occupants on this planet could evolve.

4. Q: Why then "Colonize the Moon"?

A: The evolution of manñ as exposed presently to the likelihood of a rubout of the planet by repetition of what happened to the preceding monsters.

5. Q: Why should we expect a repetition at this stage?

A: Because in the probable evolution, we would be lacking in judgment, if we failed to provide for the likely eventual repetition on this planet, making a substitute human residence possible before the destructive event occurred.

6. Q: How then should we proceed now to exercise good judgment?

A: The invaluable solution is set out in detail in the annexed article from The Wall Street Journal, (February 2, 2007): "Colonize the Moon," by William E. Burrows.

7. Q: Does good judgment suggest alternatives?

A: Yes, and to that end we are already in anticipatory conquest of knowledge of alternative planets.
